ILA Membership Encouraged
Twin Rivers Council members are also invited and encouraged to join our affiliated association, the International Literacy Association. This membership is separate from a Twin Rivers Council/NCRA membership. For more details on an ILA membership, visit their web site here. |

Support children
through "Reading Fun Day" held at the New Bern Mall. Families come on a Saturday in February and enjoy four hours of reading games and activities in the comfort and spaciousness of the mall. In partnership with Craven Smart Start, Craven & Pamlico County Schools and local Private & Parochial Schools. Reading Fun Day served over 500 children and their families in February 2020.

through the "Young Authors" and "Forever Young" writing programs. The number of entries from each school is based on the school's number of members in the Twin Rivers Reading Council. The number of entries to the state level is based on the total number of members in Twin Rivers Reading Council. The more members, the more entries we can submit.
